Playtime in the November leaves

Adam took Liam out to play in the leaves while I worked today... check out the Daddy-cam pictures!

Happiness is a field of crunchy leaves!

Deep thoughts? Or filling a diaper...?

Thanksgiving at Mac & Cassi's House

Happy Thanksgiving! We took Grandma Roo to Mac and Cassi's house for Thanksgiving this year - we all had a GREAT time!

What's going on, Mommy?

Mmm, lens cap! Nummy!

Can I have this cute pink phone Auntie Elizabeth? Really?

Daddy time in the new walker wagon

We gave Liam a Radio Flyer push walker wagon for his birthday. He really enjoys pushing it around, but he also found out how fun it is to have Daddy push him!

This might be more fun than pushing the wagon myself!

Hi Mom!

Whoa Daddy!

Happy First Birthday Liam!

Liam turned ONE YEAR OLD on Monday November 19, 2007 - Happy Birthday! We had a birthday party for him on Sunday 11/18 - we had a great time and Liam was spoiled with lots of attention and lots of presents. We're thankful to have such wonderful friends and family to celebrate with! Here are a whole lot of pictures from the big party:

Practicing for the big day...

My little guy is almost one year old!

I have decided to make bug cupcakes for his birthday. I made a test batch of red velvet cupcakes (without the red... I need to buy natural food coloring tomorrow) and made them into bugs (thanks to Martha Stewart). Forgive the sloppy decorating job and grape / toothpick head - I just wanted to get a feel for how hard it would be and if I should bother.

I think I'm going to do it! Tomorrow when I have the food coloring and the rest of the ingredients I'll try to decorate better to practice. Until then, Adam and I have been enjoying cupcakes... Liam has, too! He loves them!

First Birthday Invitation

I made Liam's first birthday invitation last night. Granted, I very much waited until the last minute, but that's how it goes sometimes. I am happy with the results, especially as this is the first time I have ever made an invitation!

Blaze of orange

Pictures from our land... one of the maples trees turned a brilliant orange this fall.

The pic is a little dark, but this is a typical "who, me?" look from Liam

The maple in all her glory

Adam and Liam with Summer and Pepper. Summer thought this would be a good time to do a quick crotch check, while Pepper is wondering how soon she can run off and roll in deer poop. Ah, the life of a country dog!

Unfinished projects

I took a picture of all my unfinished projects, thinking it would motivate me to finish them. Or just one of them. Well it hasn't worked yet, but here they are!

From the left - a striped wool sweater I am knitting for Liam, funky purple wool pants that I knitted (they've already been worn, I just need to make the drawstring so they stay up), the material is for aprons, the beautiful fall colored wool is for more long pants, the blue blanket is a cotton crochet project that was started while I was pregnant (ever tried to crochet a blanket? It's boring!), and the two plastic bags contain surprises for friends. Phew.

Give me some time, I'm sure I'll have more unfinished projects to add to the list.

Fall 2007 in Pictures

As I am behind in posting pics yet again, here is a collection of recent fall pictures.

Posing with pumpkins...

Hi Mom, want a leaf?
